PROFESSIONAL STATUS

Mr. Sloat has experience in waterproofing consultation for new construction as well as investigation of failed systems for both remediation and litigation. He has been involved in the investigation and evaluation of a wide range of building sizes and types, from single-family wood-framed residential to steel-framed skyscrapers.

His major responsibilities include testing, diagnosing and analyzing building components for defective waterproofing systems; designing remedial repairs; implementing and administrating the reconstruction process including review as necessary; and litigation support. He has been involved in many aspects of building envelope design and remediation, including roof design, curtain wall design and remediation, concrete rehabilitation, traffic coatings, pressure injection of epoxies and polyurethanes, green roofs, plaza membranes, and sub-grade waterproofing.
